Minister Of The FCT, Nyesom Wike Has Finally Spoken On A Recent Peace Meeting The President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Brokered Between Him And His Successor, Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
Its No Longer News That The Minister And Fubara Have Been At Loggerheads Since The Latter Became Governor Of Rivers State.
President Tinubu, Who Has Brokered A Peace Meeting In The Past, Had To Intervene Again After It Became Clear That The Rivers State House Of Assembly, Largely Under The Control Of Wike, Was Ready To Impeach Fubara.
Speaking To Journalists On Tuesday, Wike Said; “If There Seems To Be A Problem Between The Legislature And The Governor, And As A Father He Really Had To Intervene. I Remember This Is The Second Time, Mr. President Is Intervening, I Believe By The Grace Of God This Will Be The Last Time. The Assembly, I Have Told Them To Do The Needful.”
“I Also Believe The Governor Will Carry Out Some Part(Sic) To Ensure This Is The Final Time Rivers People Will Hear This Type Of Discord.”
