RESIDENTS LAUD GOVERNOR ABIODUN ON CONSTRUCTION OF OSINUBI, OBALENDE ROADS





Residents of Osinubi and Obalende communities in Ijebu-Ode Local Government Area of Ogun State have expressed joy over the reconstruction and commissioning of the once-deplorable Osinubi and Obalende Roads.

They commended the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for improving their socio-economic wellbeing.

Speaking in an interview with Journalists, a former Chairman of the Council area, Alhaji Raimi Saromi, recalled that the road had been in a very poor condition that had  caused untowards hardship for motorists and negatively affected economic activities, appreciating the State government for reconstructing the road as well as restoring the economic value of the community.

The former Council boss urged the people of Osinubi to continue in supporting the present government towards achieving more developmental projects, appreciating Governor Abiodun for the re-construction of the road.

Also speaking, a community leader and clergy, Bishop Wasiu Olalekan expressed delight with the transformation  Osinubi and Obalende roads into accessible routes, which would usher in greater economic opportunities and boost business activities in the area.

In his remarks, a former member of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Olufemi Allen-Taylor, stated that the newly commissioned roads would ease the movement of road users and stimulate socio-economic growth in the communities.

While expressing appreciation to the State government for its intervention, a Market Leader in Ijebu-Ode Local Government, the Otun Akile Iyaloja of Ijebu-Ode, Mrs. Kikelomo Olufunmi, said the road re-construction would address flooding challenges and make life more meaningful for residents.

Also, making a contribution, a commercial driver, Mr. Jide Ajayi, observed that the roads would facilitate the smooth movement of goods and commodities, eliminate stress and the loss of productive hours, while on their part, the residents collectively lauded Governor Dapo Abiodun for his commitment to infrastructural development, affirming their support for his administration.

Earlier, Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Ade Akinsanya, disclosed that the reconstruction of the roads was in fulfillment of the Governor’s pledge to extend the dividends of democracy to every nook and cranny of the State.

He assured that the present administration remained committed to delivering quality, durable and accessible roads, while leaving behind a legacy of impactful social interventions that would positively affect the people and the state’s economy.
