The Executive Chairman, Epe Local Government Council Area Of Lagos state, Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun has been officially appointed as Epe Local Government Coordinator for Renewed Hope Ambassadors.

Her appointment was announced at the inauguration of Renewed Hope Ambassadors ceremony held in Ikeja, Lagos, organised by the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, where twenty (20) coordinators were formally unveiled across the state.

Gov. Sanwo-Olu underscores the state government’s strategic focus on strengthening grassroots structures, improving policy coordination, and ensuring that federal and state initiatives translate into measurable community impact.

"Indeed, the initiative is designed to deepen citizen engagement, strengthen accountability frameworks, and accelerate progress in key focus areas including poverty reduction, inclusive governance, and sustainable development.

"And the inauguration of Renewed Hope Ambassadors across all 20 Local Government Areas in Lagos State is to reinforce grassroots implementation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda." Sanwo-Olu said.

Governor Sanwo-Olu reiterated the ambassadors’ responsibility in bridging policy and people, ensuring that government programmes deliver tangible, community-level outcomes.

In her brief remarks, she expressed appreciation for the confidence reposed in her and reaffirmed her commitment to ensuring effective coordination and inclusive engagement across Epe Local Government.

Princess Animashaun’s appointment further highlights the continued implementation of good governance, which prioritises infrastructural expansion, community-centered programmes, and responsive service delivery.

She said, "The Renewed Hope Ambassadors initiative is aimed at strengthening grassroots engagement and mobilization across the Local Government in support of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 General Elections."

The Renewed Hope Ambassadors initiative establishes a coordinated platform for empowering local leadership, strengthening civic participation, and sustaining long-term development across Lagos State.

Notably, Hon. Princess Animashaun is the only female among the inaugurated coordinators, reflecting her strong leadership capacity, grassroots influence, and recognized role within the progressive political structure of Lagos State.

Operational vehicles were presented to the ambassadors to enhance mobility and support outreach activities statewide.
