OGSG DISTRIBUTES FOOD ITEMS TO MUSLIM FAITHFUL




Muslim faithful in Ijebu-Ode and Ijebu North East Local Government Areas of Ogun State have expressed joy following the distribution of Rice by the Ogun State Government to support worshippers during the holy month of Ramadan.

       The distribution exercise which took place at Molipa Central Mosque in Ijebu-Ode and Ilugun Central Mosque in Ijebu North East Local Government Area, aimed at providing succor to the faithful during the Ramadan fast.

Speaking, Chief Imam of Molipa Central Mosque, Ijebu-Ode, Alhaji AbdulGaniyu Ejalonibu, expressed gratitude to Governor Dapo Abiodun for the kind gesture noting that giving gifts during the fasting period attracts abundant blessings from Allah.

According to him, with the Governor’s action of providing palliative during the Ramadan, the blessings of Allah would naturally multiply in his life, adding that the distribution exercise to Muslim faithful during the fast reflected the spirit of Ramadan, hence, worshippers would be deeply grateful to the Governor for remembering them at such a crucial time.

Echoing similar sentiments, Chief Imam of Ilugun Central Mosque, Atan in Ijebu North East, Imam Adebisi Abdulakeem, expressed deep appreciation to the State government for the support, describing the distribution as a thoughtful intervention that would go a long way in helping families break their fast and observe Ramadan without hardship.

Reacting on behalf of the beneficiaries at Molipa Central Mosque, Alhaji Toheeb Adeyemi, described the gesture as timely and compassionate, particularly in view of the current economic realities.

Some of the beneficiaries at Ilugun Central Mosque in Ijebu North East Local Government Area, including Alhaja Fathia Abdulsalam and AbdulJamiu Sunday, also appreciated the Governor for the palliative, noting that it would help ease the fast for Muslims in the communities.
