RAMADAN: OGUN DISTRIBUTES SECOND BATCH OF RICE TO MUSLIM FAITHFUL

Ogun State Government has distributed the second batch of Rice to Muslim faithful in Sagamu Local Government Area to serve as palliative for the breaking of fast as part of measures to support them in the holy month of Ramadan.

The distribution exercise which took place during the Jumat service at Makun Central Mosque, Sagamu, was described as a "commendable act of giving" by the Chief Imam of the Mosque, Dr. Tajudeen Ashaye.

Dr. Ashaye, expressed surprises and commended Governor Abiodun’s administration for showing love and care to the needs of the people, regardless of their religious affiliation, noting that the Rice palliative would be an addition to whatever the beneficiaries had at home and would also help improve the living conditions of the vulnerable in the community.

He however appealed for the continuation of the annual Ramadan rice distribution initiative and prayed for the State Government’s continued success.

Responding to the gesture, some of the beneficiaries, including Mrs. Fatimat Oseni and Mr. Yusuf Adeyemi, expressed appreciation to the State government, describing the initiative as an act of kindness that reflected the Governor’s other side as someone who genuinely cared for his people, praying that Almighty God would continue to bless the State.
