The political atmosphere in Odeda Local Government received a major boost on Tuesday as apex leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the council officially adopted Hon. Adebayo Olayemi Sanusi as the preferred aspirant for the Odeda State Constituency seat in the Ogun State House of Assembly.

The decision was reached during a strategic meeting of party leaders held at the residence of respected APC chieftain, Pastor Michael Fajimi.

Sources at the meeting disclosed that 10 out of the 15 apex leaders in attendance endorsed and adopted Sanusi as the consensus candidate for the constituency ahead of the 2027 political process.

The development is being viewed within party circles as a major political breakthrough capable of strengthening unity within the APC in Odeda Local Government.

It was further gathered that five other aspirants in the race voluntarily stepped down for Hon. Sanusi after extensive consultations and deliberations among stakeholders and party leaders.
