The Honourable Commissioner for Transportation in Ogun State, Hon. Gbenga Dairo, has been installed as the Otunba Fehintade and Olori Omoba of Molipa Ijebu Kingdom during a colourful traditional ceremony attended by dignitaries, traditional rulers, political associates, family members, and well-wishers.
This news platform reports that his wife, Yeye Otunba Oluwaseun Dairo, was also installed as the Yeye Otunba Fehintade and Yeye Olori Omoba of Molipa Ijebu Kingdom.
The installation ceremony, which took place at the palace of the Lipa of Molipa in the Molipa Ijebu area of Ogun State, featured cultural displays, prayers, and encomiums in recognition of Hon. Dairo’s contributions to community development and public service.
Speaking with our correspondent, Hon. Dairo expressed gratitude to Oba Adeyemi Abiodun Odubena and the people of Molipa Ijebu Kingdom for finding him worthy of the prestigious titles.
He pledged to uphold the traditions of the land and remain committed to the advancement of the kingdom and the welfare of its people.
The newly installed Olori Omoba of Molipa Kingdom also congratulated the Lipa of Molipa Ijebu, Oba Adeyemi Abiodun Odubena, on the occasion of his 78th birthday celebration, wishing the monarch long life and prosperity.
Speaking earlier, the Lipa of Molipa Ijebu, Oba Adeyemi Abiodun Odubena, described the honour bestowed on Hon. Dairo as well-deserved, noting his commitment to the growth and unity of the Molipa Ijebu Kingdom.
Oba Adeyemi urged him to continue using his position and influence to promote peace, progress, and cultural values within the community.
The conferment of the titles of Otunba Fehintade and Olori Omoba is regarded as a recognition of leadership, service, and dedication to the development of the community.
