It was a glamorous ending yesterday at Papalanto High School as the biggest and most rewarding football competition in the Ifo/Ewekoro local government came to an end yesterday, the 9th of May 2026.

The competition that started over two months ago had over 24 teams participated and fought fiercely for the Top price 

Choosen Generation FC goes home with the first price of a million Naira after defeating Catalyst with 3 goals to Nil

Also in the third place TALENTED fc defeated Borax fc with a lone goal to come third in the competition. 

Also a lot of individual prices and awards were won by various players at the grand finals event yesterday. 

The Event attracted a lot of people including the Sponsor Hon olumide Jones,various community leaders,and party faithful.

Hon olumide Olumide Jones while addressing the crowd emphasis on the important of Sport Development and youth engagement and promised that his foundation will continue to empower youth through such sporting activities. 

Hon olumide Jones also emphasis on his ongoing empowerment schemes aim at promoting small.scales businesses and mention this as part of his core activities to enhance grassroot development. 

Hon olumide Jones who happend to be the consensus candidate of the People's Democratic Party in Ifo/Ewekoro fed Constituency in the coming 2027 Elections as vowed to continue his support for youth development and to make it an important aspect of his project when he gets to the lower chamber in Abuja.

The youth and Elders of the community cannot hide thier joy as they came out enmass to witness the final match yesterday in what they describe as the biggest football event ever in the community and the local government at large.

Hon olumide Jones now pledged that the Competition will become a yearly event with bigger rewards if he was supported and given the mandate by the people.

The grand finale attracted many dignitaries among whom were party faithful and community leaders,and youths across the nook and cranies of the local government.
