The Chairman Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria, MHWUN, Comrade Famuyiwa Sarafadeen Abiodun, popularly known as Ijoba has rejoiced with members of MHWUN in FMC, Ogun State chapter and muslims in FMC on the occasion of Eid-El-Kabir.
Comrade Famuyiwa in a statement personally signed by him and made available to journalists in Abeokuta urged muslims to imbibe the lessons of the sacrifice made by Prophet Ibrahim and work for the unity and peace of the nation.
He submitted that the Eid-el-Kabir comes with great lessons being a reminder of sacrifice everyone was expected to make.
According to him, the sacrifice is not only for spiritual fulfilment but also for the progress of mankind and development of the society, praying “Allah to grant us His grace to celebrate many of it in good health and wealth.”
“As we celebrate Eid-Kabir this year, I join Muslim faithful across the country, especially muslims in the Federal Medical Centre, FMC, Ogun State chapter to share in the felicity of this Ileya Festival.
"The Eid-el-Adha comes with significant lessons for mankind. It is a symbolic Islamic festival that is a constant reminder to us that, there will always be great rewards when we have long-lasting faith and perseverance in trying periods; diligence in prayers and tenacity in our belief.
“I felicitate with all the muslims in FMC, Ogun State chapter on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir. May Allah (SWT) grant us His grace to celebrate many of it in good health and wealth,”
He therefore used the occasion to reiterate his commitment towards the development of MHWUN.
Comrade Famuyiwa therefore urged them to remember the purpose of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration, which is to commemorate the trials and triumph of Prophet Ibrahim.
