In an effort to ensure an improved standard of living after service for retirees of State Basic Education Board (SUBEB) and Local government Staff, Ogun State Government has paid another gratuity, indicating its unflinching commitment.
Making this revelation was the Permanent Secretary, Bureau of Local Government Pensions, Engr. Olufisan Osiyale in Abeokuta, said the State government would continue to pay gratuity in order to ensure that retirees enjoy the full financial value of their gratuities during their retirement.
Engr. Osiyale, posited that the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has great penchant for honouring those that deserved it, hence, his resolved never to either delay or deny the gratuities meant for pensioners who were dedicated and committed in their heydays.
"Without mincing words, . Every programme geared at making life and living more exciting and rewarding for the senior citizens are connected to the passion of the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, who always places the welfare and wellbeing of the senior citizens at the pinnacle of his heart," he said.
Speaking on behalf of other beneficiaries, a retired primary school teacher Mrs. Suriat Adedoja and another from the Local government, Mr. Adeshina Osho, commended the present administration for the continuous disbursement of their gratuity, saying that it would be used judiciously.
