Akintunde Meets Iperu Ward 5 Leaders, Emphasises Unity, Progress For APC In Ikenne

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Ikenne Local Government Area of Ogun State, Armstrong 'Tope Akintunde, has reaffirmed his commitment to the unity, growth, and continued success of the party, urging leaders, members to remain united and focused on collective progress ahead of future political engagements.

Akintunde, who is a member of the All Progressives Congress Ward 5 in Iperu and Convener of the Yayi Progressives Movement, made the appeal during a meeting with his ward party leaders and members on Tuesday.

Addressing concerns and speculations circulating within his constituency, Akintunde dismissed misinformation suggesting that he is planning to shift his political allegiance or activities away from Ikenne Local Government to Sagamu following the establishment of his group's secretariat in Sagamu.

According to him, the secretariat was strategically located in Sagamu because of its central position within Remoland and serves as an administrative hub for the movement's activities and documentation. He stressed that the establishment of the office should be seen as a symbol of progress and expansion rather than a departure from his political roots in Iperu.

Akintunde reiterated that his primary objective remains the mobilisation of support for the APC across Ogun State, particularly in strengthening the party's structures and ensuring electoral victories for all the party's candidates in future elections.

He also highlighted the importance of supporting the administration of Governor Dapo Abiodun, CON, and advancing the political aspirations of Senator Solomon Adeola, popularly known as Yayi.

"I am here today to appeal to all our leaders and members in Iperu Ward 5 to embrace unity and continue working for the progress of our great party in Ikenne Local Government and Ogun State as a whole. There have been insinuations and misinformation around; that information is completely false.

"While we established the secretariat of the Yayi Progressives Movement in Sagamu because it serves as the central point of Remoland, I cannot abandon my home. Iperu remains my political home, and Ikenne Local Government will always occupy a special place in my heart.

"I want to appeal to all aggrieved members to remain committed to the growth of our party. This is our home, and we have a collective responsibility to strengthen and move the APC forward.

"I appreciate our respected leaders, elders and members who are present here today. My mission is to correct the wrong impression being circulated and to reaffirm my unwavering commitment to the unity, peace, and progress of our party from Ward 5 in Iperu, Ikenne Local Govt to the entire Ogun State.

"Our collective efforts and contributions remain vital to the success of the APC. Anyone who neglects his roots cannot truly succeed elsewhere. Home remains the foundation upon which greater achievements are built, and together we must make that foundation stronger than ever before." - Akintunde insisted.

Armstrong 'Tope Akintunde is widely regarded as a grassroots politician, mobiliser, and dedicated party loyalist whose political activities have continued to impact communities across Remoland and Ogun State.

As Convener of the Yayi Progressives Movement, he has consistently championed party unity, youth engagement, and grassroots development while maintaining strong ties with his political base in Iperu.

Known for his accessibility, commitment to party ideals, and unwavering dedication to progressive politics, Akintunde remains one of the emerging political figures working to strengthen the APC's structure and expand its influence across Ogun State.
