ABEOKUTA — Youth leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across the six local government areas and 74 wards in Ogun Central Senatorial District have declared their support for the governorship aspiration of Olamilekan Solomon Adeola ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The youth leaders, in a statement issued on behalf of APC youths and stakeholders across the district, expressed confidence in Adeola’s ability to lead Ogun State, citing his experience, leadership capacity and track record of public service.
According to the statement, the youths remain committed to the unity, growth and electoral success of the APC and believe Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, possesses the political reach and competence needed to advance the development of Ogun State.
They described the senator as a seasoned politician with a reputation for effective representation and sustained engagement with the people, adding that his contributions over the years have earned him widespread acceptance within the state and beyond.
The group also passed a vote of confidence in the administration of Governor Dapo Abiodun, commending his leadership and developmental efforts across the state. They reaffirmed their support for all APC candidates in Ogun Central Senatorial District.
The youths dismissed what they described as politically motivated narratives aimed at creating division within the party, insisting that the APC remains united and firmly rooted across the state.
They expressed optimism that Adeola would secure at least 80 per cent of votes in Ogun Central during the 2027 governorship election, attributing the projection to what they called growing public confidence in his leadership vision.
The statement further pledged the commitment of party youths to grassroots mobilisation across all wards and local government areas to ensure the victory of APC candidates in future elections.
Speaking on behalf of the youth leaders, Comrade Clement Adeniyi, an APC chieftain and member of the Ogun Central Youth Leadership structure, commended party leaders in Ifo Local Government Area and the wider Ogun Central District for their efforts in addressing recent internal issues and maintaining party unity.
Adeniyi urged party members, especially young people, to remain disciplined and committed to strengthening the APC through active grassroots participation and collective responsibility.
The youth leaders also expressed confidence in the party’s structure across the district, stating that the opposition Peoples Democratic Party would face significant challenges in gaining support in Ogun Central due to the APC’s established presence in all 74 wards.
They called on party faithful to continue promoting peace, unity and cooperation as preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum.
