Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has commended the Chairman, Ijebu-Ode Local Government, Hon. Dare Alebiosu, for executing series of developmental projects in the local government.
The commendation was given during the commissioning of some laudable projects spread across the local government.
The Governor, represented by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Hon. Ganiyu Hamzat, commended the Chairman for his proactive initiative and the successful execution of various projects accurately.
Governor Abiodun, noted that each completed project represented a promise fulfilled and a testament to purposeful leadership, while highlighting the importance of sustainability by the community in maintaining these developmental projects.
“I am confident that these projects will significantly impact the lives of our grassroots communities. I urge the people to take ownership of these infrastructures and protect them, ensuring their benefits are enjoyed for years to come,” he stated.
In his opening address, the Chairman of the local government, Hon. Dare Alebiosu, reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the people, noting that his administration embarked upon and executed well over 23 developmental projects across all the political wards of the local government.
He said that the projects were classified and certified "OGUN STANDARD" with non-abandoned.
He submitted further that the projects were beyond mere infrastructure, as they embody the collective aspirations of the various benefiting communities who had yearned for a better life, adding that the projects were meticulously selected to address the needs of the residents and enhance their quality of life.
Also speaking, former caretaker Chairman ijebu-ode local government and a member of Governor Advisory Council, Alhaji Adisa Saromi, expressed his gratitude to the government for the attention given to local communities and commended Hon. Dare Alebiosu, for his intelligence and dedication. He applauded his efforts at ensuring that developmental projects reached every corner of the local government.
The commissioning ceremony was marked by the inauguration of a newly renovated Health centre at Oke-Aje, conversion of 2 solar-powered boreholes at abattoir, renovation of a 4 classrooms at Our Saviour Primary school, Ijebu Ode.
The initiative also involved the renovation and refurbishment of the Legislative Chamber office, renovation of the INEC office within the local government secretariat and construction of 150metres fence and steel gate at Baptist Primary School, Ijebu ode, construction of perimeter fence and Steel gate at Gbelegbuwa Health centre, Ijebu ode, amongst other developmental projects.
Reacting, the Baba Loja General Ijebu-Ode local government, Mr. Oladipupo Ogunde, appreciated Prince Abiodun, the local government Chairman, Hon, Alebiosu and the present administration for their continued support to the Council Area.
