The Special Adviser to the Governor and Managing Director of the Ogun State Waste Management Authority Hon Chief Farouk Akintunde has been appointed into the Regency Committee of Egba Chiefs that will oversee the traditional administration of  Egbaland in the absence of the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland,Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo CFR who will proceeds two- months annual leave from the 8th of this month to the 22nd of next month. 

         In a letter personally signed by the royal father to the Governor of Ogun State,Prince Dapo Abiodun CON,Oba Gbadebo named Akintunde who is the Seriki of Ijeun as member of seven-man regency committee.

     According to the royal father, Akintunde was selected because of his grassroots leadership, commitment and contributions to the growth and development of Egbaland as well as his competence and administrative ability to carry-out the assignment.

        Oba Gbadebo therefore enjoined Akintunde and others members of the Regency Committee to serve with integrity and uphold the excellent standards Egba tradition is noted for while discharging their duties.

     In the meantime,the Commissioner for Environment,Dr Ola Oresanya has congratulated OGWAMA Boss,Hon Farouk Akintunde on the appointment which is a reflection of his competence by the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo.

   He said the appointment is not only for Akintunde but for the entire environment family who work assiduously to keep the state clean,tidy and healthier that enhances the   well-being of residents of the state.
