The Adeola Azeez Community Care Foundation (AACCF), in partnership with Emadeb Foundation, has successfully distributed school uniforms, school bags, and stationery to 165 pupils of Emmanuel Anglican Primary School 1 & 2, Italupe, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.

The programme, themed “Threads of Dignity: Back-to-School Attire Initiative”, was held on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at Emmanuel Anglican Primary School 1, Italupe, Ijebu-Ode, and attracted distinguished guests from the Ijebu-Ode Local Government Education Authority, headteachers, teachers, parents, and other education stakeholders.

The 165 beneficiary pupils each received two pairs of school uniforms, two pairs of socks, school bags, notebooks, and stationery. They comprised 34 male Primary 1 pupils, 51 female Primary 1 pupils, 32 male Primary 3 pupils, and 48 female Primary 3 pupils.

According to the organisers, the Back-to-School Attire Initiative aims to make school attendance a more dignified and confident experience for every beneficiary, while generating measurable impact for the children, their families, and the wider school community. In line with the foundation’s vision for grassroots economic development, the project engaged local tailors and artisans, keeping production within the community while supporting local livelihoods.

The Back-to-School Attire Initiative is the second major intervention by AACCF at Emmanuel Anglican Primary School, Italupe, Ijebu-Ode, following the successful and widely celebrated ₦30 million Tech Hub project commissioned on January 19, 2026.

In her welcome speech, the Founder of the Adeola Azeez Community Care Foundation, Mrs Adeola Azeez, said the project was born out of the belief that every child should resume school “confident, prepared and included”. She noted that school uniforms are a simple but important part of a pupil’s academic journey and play a vital role in shaping their confidence.

Mrs Azeez added that the project continues the relationship established between the foundation and the school during the Tech Hub programme, saying that “impact is not a one-time event”.

She said, “For us at the Adeola Azeez Community Care Foundation, that is what impact means. It means showing up, listening, and doing what we can with the resources and partnerships available to us.”

“So today, we are pleased to officially hand over the Threads of Dignity intervention to the school, trusting that these uniforms will do more than clothe our children. We hope they remind every child who receives one that they matter, that their education matters, and that there are people who believe in their future,” she added.

In his goodwill message, the Ijebu-Ode Local Government Area Education Secretary, Chief Felix Ayankoya, while appreciating Mrs Adeola Azeez, said the contributions and support of well-meaning Nigerians are important in ensuring quality education for all children.

He said, “We are grateful to you for putting up this programme. The Nigerian government wants every child to be educated; the government is doing a lot to pump money into education, to see that everyone is educated. And we want to thank those who are partnering with the government to see that the goal is accomplished. And that is what Mrs Adeola Azeez is doing. Hon. Azeez, I thank you for partnering with us.”

The Chairperson of the Association of Primary School Headteachers, Ijebu-Ode Branch, Mrs Comfort Olubunmi Osinaike, expressed gratitude for the back-to-school initiative and the existing Tech Hub project. She said, “We are grateful for what you are doing in Ijebu-Ode at large, because teachers from other schools are coming to use the tech hub here to teach and train.”

The Headteacher of Emmanuel Anglican Primary School 1, Mr Lawrence Bolanle Oso, and his counterpart in School 2, Mrs F. A. Ashiru, said in their appreciation that the project would have a significant impact on the lives of the beneficiary pupils. They also offered prayers of blessing on the donor and the foundation.

Mr Oso said, “I want to appreciate you, ma, for all these things you are doing for the children. God will continue to bless and elevate you. The parents here notice all you do here and are appreciating you.”

Mrs Ashiru said, “I am full of joy and praises, because what you are doing in the life of the learners today is very unique. The learners of both schools are full of joy because of what you have done for them. Thank you; we appreciate you.”

Other guests in attendance included the Chairman of the School-Based Management Committee, Emmanuel Anglican Primary School 1, Mr Shaibu Oladele; his counterpart in School 2, Mr Fasasi Shittu; monitoring officers of the Local Government Education Authority, Mrs Oresanya and Mrs Ayanbadejo; teachers; and parents.

The programme concluded with the presentation of the items to the beneficiaries, photo sessions, and appreciation from the Emmanuel Anglican Primary School community to Mrs Adeola Azeez and her team at the Adeola Azeez Community Care Foundation.
