The House of Representatives candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) for Ipokia/Yewa South Federal Constituency, Hon. Aderemi Henry Ajibade, has commenced consultations and grassroots engagements across communities in the constituency ahead of the forthcoming election.

Ajibade, during the consultations, visited various communities and areas within Ipokia and Yewa South Local Government Areas, where he interacted with residents, community leaders, stakeholders and supporters.

It was gathered that the House of Representative Candidate was recieved with enthusiasm.

The engagements provided the candidate with an opportunity to introduce his political agenda to the people and seek their support for his ambition to represent the Ipokia/Yewa South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

Speaking during the visits, Ajibade stressed the importance of grassroots participation in governance, noting that the views, aspirations and concerns of residents should form the foundation of any representative's agenda.

He explained that effective representation requires regular engagement with the people, adding that elected representatives must remain connected to their constituents and understand the challenges confronting them.

During the consultations, residents and community stakeholders also highlighted various issues affecting the constituency, including infrastructure, employment opportunities, economic empowerment, livelihoods and general community development.

Ajibade listened to the concerns raised and used the interactions to explain some of his plans and priorities, while assuring residents that their interests would remain central to his proposed representation.

The candidate's approach has also provided an avenue for direct interaction with residents, allowing him to engage people at the community level rather than relying solely on large campaign rallies and political gatherings.

Some residents and supporters who received Ajibade during the consultations expressed their willingness to listen to his proposals, while also urging political candidates to remain accessible and accountable to the people beyond the election period.

The ongoing consultations are expected to continue across more communities and wards within the Ipokia/Yewa South Federal Constituency as Ajibade intensifies his grassroots outreach and seeks to build wider support ahead of the election.
