Hon. Dr Kehinde Ayodeji Bello, Senior Special Assistant to Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun and General Manager of the Ogun State Environmental Protection Agency (OGEPA), is set to provide free eye-care services to residents of Ijebu-East Local Government Area under an initiative tagged “Jigi Bello: Mission For Vision.”

The outreach, scheduled for Saturday, October 17, 2026, is expected to benefit 1,000 residents through free eye screening and the distribution of eyeglasses. Elderly residents diagnosed with cataracts during the exercise will also be eligible for free surgery, subject to medical assessment and confirmation of appointments.

Speaking with journalists on Saturday, Bello said the initiative was designed to improve access to essential eye-care services and help residents address vision problems that might otherwise go untreated due to financial constraints.

Adding that the exercise will take place at the Ijebu-Imusin Muslim Community Events Centre, beside Moslem Nursery and Primary School, Ijebu-Imusin.

"Residents seeking further information about the outreach can contact the organisers on 0803685295, 08053523240 or 08033971040".

Asserting that the venue is accessible from Ijebu-Ode via Imusin Market Junction. Residents travelling from Ijebu-Ode are advised to turn right at the junction and ask for Moslem Nursery and Primary School, which shares a boundary with the events centre.
