The 2026 edition of the Remo Mega Praise and Awards Night will hold on 30th December at the Akesan Mini Stadium Complex, Atenda, Iperu, with the unveiling of its Board of Trustees chaired by Dr. Joke SOFOWORA as the annual interdenominational gathering prepares to bring Christians and other believers together for praise, worship and thanksgiving.
The annual programme, which has grown in prominence over the years, seeks to promote peace, unity, spiritual renewal and sustainable development across Remo communities through collective praise and worship of God Almighty.
With the theme, “Bringing Remo Together in Praise, Worship and Thanksgiving,” the 2026 edition is expected to consolidate the programme’s vision of using genuine praise and worship to foster unity, strengthen community bonds and celebrate God’s faithfulness throughout the year.
Conceived as a divine vision by Evang. (Dr.) Kolawole HALLELUYAH, the Remo Mega Praise has evolved into a significant interdenominational platform where Christians from different churches and backgrounds gather annually to express gratitude to God for His protection, provision, mercy, favour and blessings.
The word “Halleluyah” is derived from the Hebrew expression meaning “Praise the Lord” or “Praise Yah,” with “Yah” being a shortened form of the name of God. It is an expression of adoration, gratitude, reverence and joyful acknowledgement of God's greatness and faithfulness.
In the context of the Remo Mega Praise, the expression captures the central purpose of the gathering: to bring the people of Remo Land together, irrespective of denominational affiliations, to praise and worship God Almighty, give thanks for His protection, provision, mercy and blessings, and seek His continued guidance for the peace, unity, progress and prosperity of the land.
Beyond its spiritual significance, the programme seeks to use the unifying power of praise and worship to strengthen communal bonds, promote peaceful coexistence and inspire collective commitment to the sustainable development of Remo communities. Its underlying message is that, despite differences in church affiliations and backgrounds, the people can unite in thanksgiving to God and in their shared aspirations for a better Remo Land.
The programme has continued to attract attention beyond Remo Land, drawing gospel musicians, ministers of God, traditional rulers, political leaders, professionals and other distinguished personalities who identify with its spiritual and community-development objectives.
