IJEBU ODE LG DISTRIBUTES  COVID-19 PREVENTIVE MATERIALS

In its contribution to contain the spread of Corona Virus pandemic in the society, Ijebu Ode Local Government has commenced distribution of Covid-19 preventive materials to various Healthcare Centres in the Council Area.

The Local Government Chairman, Alhaji Emiola Gazal, said, the distribution indicates collective will and decision to rid our society of the ravaging disease.

The Council Boss said the first phase of Covid-19 vaccination has been carried out among health workers under strategic leaders and frontline health workers in all the Local Governments of Ogun State including Ijebu Ode, adding that other phases of the  vaccination were in the offing.

"A responsible Government will not toy with the health of her people, hence, this administration has resolved to give out covid-19 preventive materials to all the health facilities for the protection of health workers", Gazal said.

He appreciated the strong support of the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for making the safety of health workers a priority.

In their Separate remarks, the acting HOLGA, Ijebu Ode Local Government, Mr Phillips Ogunpitan and a Food Scientist, Mr Ilori Olukolade, appreciated the timely intervention of the State Government at procurement of the preventive materials to all the health Center,  advising the people on safety protocols of Covid-19.
