In furtherance of its commitment to infrastructural development and provision of equitable distribution of Physical Capital Projects across Ogun State, the Prince Dapo Abiodun led administration has proposed a total of N170bn to be expended in 2022 Fiscal year.

          The State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun made this known in Abeokuta at the presentation of the 2022 Appropriation Bill tagged, "Budget of Restoration, saying his government would embark on physical capital projects, create enabling environment for investment, employment and enhance redistribution of resources.

          Abiodun noted that efforts were being put in place to ensure equitable distribution of projects and programmes in the proposed budget, which is expected to be used for completion of ongoing projects and commencement of new ones

          While reassuring the people of continued fairness in provision of infrastructure in all parts of the State. Governor Abiodun reiterated that infrastructural development would have multiplier effect on the economy, thereby creating smooth flow of human and material resources.

         He maintained that road construction and rehabilitation would take vital position in the administration’s infrastructural drive, hence the reconstruction of 34 roads spanning over 270km, while another set of 41 roads have benefitted from rehabilitation, covering over 322km across the three Senatorial District of the State.

       According to him, the completion of Ijebu- Ode-Epe road in Ogun East Senatorial district has immensely benefitted people plying the route, as it serves as catalyst for industrial activities, adding that Atan-Lusada-Agbara road in Ogun West Senatorial district flagged-off early in the year would be due for completion in 2022, as well as construction of Abeokuta-Sagamu interchange which serves as major entry in Abeokuta ,Ogun Central.
