The commendation was brought to the fore during an inspection tour of the projects led by the Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Ade Akinsanya.

It would be recalled that at the inception of the present dispensation the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun pledged to put in place infrastructural development that would facilitate individuals' prosperity to further improve the socio- economic growth of the State.

Speaking with OGIS correspondent, the Baale of Debonre village, along Abeokuta-Kobape road, Chief Rauf Adeboye commended the government for the reconstruction of the 42km Abeokuta-Siun-Sagamu road, saying the development has demonstrated his commitment to prioritise welfare of the populace.

“I am impressed with the fact that the area will be well lit, which will make it impossible for nefarious elements to perpetrate their acts”, he said.

Also speaking, a commercial bus driver plying Warri-Lagos route, Mr. Chidi Nwafor noted that the completion of Ijebu-Ode-Epe road has provided an alternative route to the Lagos/Ibadan Express road, thereby removing the traffic bottleneck being experienced in the past, stating that the road has improved economic activities within Ijebu-Ode and Odogbolu axis.

On their parts, a resident of the area, Mr. Bolaji Akinkunmi and a market trader, Madam Alarape Iyanda expressed enthusiasm over the completion of the 14Km road, noting that it has upgraded the quality of lives of the people, and appreciated the State government for its people-friendly policies.
