Arsenal legend, Paul Merson, has predicted the scoreline of Chelsea’s Carabao Cup final tie with Liverpool on Sunday.

Chelsea will clash with Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday evening at the Wembley Stadium.

Chelsea head to the game following a 2-0 win over Lille in the Champions League.

Liverpool, on the other hand, defeated Leeds United 6-0 in the Premier League.

But Merson believes both teams will play a 2-2 draw and will go all the way to a tense penalty shootout.

“When I look at the two teams and how they have performed this season, I think this could be an absolute humdinger of a game with lots of goals,” Merson told Sportskeeda.

Predicting a game like this is an impossible task, but I’m going for a 2-2 draw! As for penalties? Flip a coin because there’s absolutely no one on the planet who can predict which one of these two sides would prevail in such a situation.”
