It was a moment of appreciation of God's favour and mercy in the life of Hon. Olusegun Ogunleye, Executive Chairman, Ikenne Local Government, as he was on Monday, joined by family, friends and associates, at the celebration of his 61st birthday.

Speaking during the event, held at his Iperu Remo residence, Hon Ogunleye, who was filled with joy, said he decided to host the event in appreciation of the astonishing favour and mercy of the Lord over him and his family, in the last ten years.

He said he will not deny the fact that the Lord has been so good to him, and his family; and that the only way that he deemed fit, he could return all Glory to God, is to organise the Thanksgiving session.

He used the opportunity to appreciate the Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR, for his brotherly support, always.

Pastor Taiwo Jeremiah of the Christ Apostolic Church, in his sermon, admonished everyone present to always serve God, because he is the reason for our existence, and that everyone's aim is to make heaven and have eternal life.

Dignitaries at the event include the Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Affairs, Hon. Biyi Adeleye; Vice Chairman, Ikenne Local Government, Hon. Bolanle Fakoya; Head of Local Government Administration, Ikenne Local Government, Engr. (Mrs.) Olanike Ogunbona;  Chief Babajide Oyeti; Hon. Bisi Adesina; and Hon. Bukonla Braimoh.
