QUALITATIVE HEALTHCARE PROVISION: IKENNE LG BOSS, OGUNLEYE COMMENDS ALGON

The Executive Chairman, Ikenne Local Government, Hon. Olusegun OGUNLEYE, has commended the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), on its concern for the provision of good and qualitative healthcare to the people at the grassroot.


The Chairman gave the commendation during the week, while leading a team of officials from the association who were on an inspection visit to the Comprehensive Primary Healthcare Centre being built by the  association at Iperu Remo.

The council boss appreciated the association for the kind and humanitarian gesture of building such a facility in his domain, as it will in no small way, cater for the health needs of the grassroot masses, thereby saving lives of people that ordinarily would have died as a result of lack of access to basic healthcare.


Speaking further, Hon. OGUNLEYE, implored the project contractor, to improve on the quality of job being done on the project, situated along Ibu Road, behind the newly-commissioned lock-up shops; as he assured the ALGON officials that the facility will be properly and effectively managed, when released to the council upon its completion.

Dr. (Mrs.) OGUNSILU, Director, Primary Health Care, Ikenne Local Government, thanked the visiting team led by Chief Deji LAMUREN, for the support, and also expressed the council's gratitude to the association.


Also on the team were the ALGON Coordinator, Southwest, Mr. Emeka OFODILI; Miss Victoria PETERS; Chairman, ALGON, Ogun State, and Executive Chairman, Ijebu Ode Local Government, Alhaji Babatunde EMILOLA-GAZAL; Executive Chairman, Imeko-Afon Local Government, Hon

Yaya FADIPE; and Executive Chairman, Remo  North Local Government, Hon. Dapo ODUNSI.


The Vice Chairman, Ikenne Local Government, Hon. Bolanle FAKOYA; and the Head of Local Government Administration; Engr. (Mrs.) Olanike OGUNBONA FNSE; were in attendance during the inspection.
