Ogun 2023: Ogun assembly candidate, Tella visits Traditional rulers In Abeokuta North LG, Seeks their support

 


A candidate of Ogun State House of  Assembly in  Abeokuta North Local Government under the platform of All Progressives Congress, APC,  Prince Dr. Tunde Tella on Wednesday paid a courtesy visit to all the traditional rulers (Baales) in  Abeokuta North Local Government, Ogun State to seek for their support ahead of the 2023 general elections.


The former caretaker chairman while addressing the traditional rulers promised not to disappoint them if elected.


He vowed that no traditional ruler will be relegated in scheme of things.


The former caretaker chairman added that he is  capable to represent the people of the local government.

He said'' today I am here  to introduce my self to you as the candidate of house of assembly in Abeokuta North Local Government. We have not started political campaign yet but I have come  to let you know that you will never regret supporting my ambition. I have plans if elected. I will  focus on rural areas, I will work to ensure that necessary facilities are available in all  rural areas. I have it in mind to sponsor rural integration bill , environmental bill and many other bills that our people will benefit a lot from.

 

He also used the opportunity of the visitation to appeal to them to support the current administration of Prince  Dapo Abiodun, calling on them to work for his re-election in 2023.

Alhaja Faidat in her speech urged the traditional rulers to support Prince Dr. Tunde Tella to win at the poll.


The party chairperson commended Dapo Abiodun for considering candidate from Oke-Ogun.


Also the chairman of the local government, Hon. Ayorinde also  said that Dr. Tunde Tella will  perform well if given the chance.


Meanwhile, the  chairman,  council of  baales in Abeokuta North, who is also the Baale of Onishasha, Chief Jelili Oyejide said that Tella didn't fail them when he was the caretaker chairman of the local government.


He said in the past Tella promised them and he fulfilled his promise, urging other traditional rulers to support him.


Some traditional rulers who spoke with newsmen  commended the former caretaker chairman for his good deeds.


They all declared their support for him.


They however urged him not to fail them if elected.


Other dignitaries present were the Vice chairman of Abeokuta North Local Government,  councilor representing ward 15, Ishaga Orile/Ilewo, Hon.  Erubami and some members of  All Progressives Congress, APC in Abeokuta North
