Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has been awarded the best Governor on Health Care Delivery and Urban Development in the country, for his effort at providing affordable and qualitative health care services and developmental projects for the people.

            Receiving the award on behalf of the Governor, the State Liaison Officer, Mr. Olugbenga Adejonpe, during the 6th anniversary awards ceremony orgnised by The Nigeria News at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, noted that the honor was an indication that the people were monitoring the government’s policies and programmes.

          Governor Abiodun, said all hands must be on deck towards taking the State to a greater height in line with the ‘ISEYA’ mantra of the present administration, assuring of government support for the media and appreciating the organisation for counting him worthy of the award.

          In his presentation, the Publisher, The Nigeria News, Mr. Philip Agbese said the Governor was considered for the award based on its assessment on all the Governors’ performances in the country on health care delivery and urban renewal programmes.

          Agbese said, ‘’the Award of Excellence presented to the Governor of Ogun State is to further encourage him to do more, as the organisation has the track records of the Governor’s various giant strides, especially in health and urban development”.
