RAMADAN FASTING: CHIEF IMAM OF REMO CHARGES INDIGENE TO FORGIVE, BE CALM, EMBRACE PEACE

 


The indigenes of Remoland particularly the Muslims faithful within the division have been charged to uphold the virtues of holiness, forgiveness and tolerant garnered during this month of Ramadan and to ensure that peace and unity reign across the state. 


The Grand Chief Imam of Remo Kingdom, Alhaji Abdul Quadri Jinadu gave the charge during an interview with newsmen in Sagamu, noting that the Holy month of Ramadan was a special month that Almighty Allah usually forgive sins and answer prayers.


According to him "people should  forgive those who have  offended them as stipulated in the Holy Quran, they should also desist from holding grudges against anyone, never be in a hurry to do anything rash but distant themselves from   foul words that could destroy the peaceful co-existence among the people".


The Chief Imam said, Ramadan is the Month of Peace, tranquility,, goodness, mercy, forgiveness, attaining paradise, is the Month of celebration of being a Muslim where we practice self restraint "we don't just do what we want to do but what the Almighty has ordained" 


He added that this is a season of sharing of gifts, helping the needy financially and staying away from touts 


He appreciated the state government for its determination to checkmate violence and curb killing among other criminalities in Remo land and the state at large. He prayed that the holy month of Ramadan would bring forth blessing, progress as well as eternal joys for the people in the state.
