Workers in Ogun State Civil Service again have been urged to take full advantage of the State Health Insurance Scheme to mitigate the cost of healthcare delivery services in view of the prevailing economic challenges in the nation and for better healthy life. 

Abiodun was represented by the Secretary to Ogun State Government, Mr Tokunbo Talabi gave the admonition while declaring open a programme tagged "Know Your Health Status" organized by the State Bureau of Establishment and Trainings, Office of the Head of Service, for Workers to kick start the 3-day Public Service Week, saying this will further reduce out-of-pocket expenditure and increase access to quality health care regardless of their socio-economic status.

The Governor said his administration had since launched the scheme in its quest to promote healthiness and healthy life for its workers in line with its Social Welfare and Social-Wellbeing  agenda. 

Governor Abiodun pledged the commitment  of his administration to consistently and continuously attend to his financial commitments to the workforce to further reduce their demands to the barest minimum. 

It will be recalled that the Prince Dapo Abiodun led government had also implemented the health insurance scheme for the informal sector and free for pregnant women in the state.
