Determine to combat security emergencies and ensure efficiency in the health sector in Ogun State, the State Emergency Management Agency (OGSEMA) in collaboration with the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), has given out hospital equipment and security items to selected Primary Healthcare Centers (PHCs) and security outfits respectively in the State.

          The items include Wheelchairs, Arm digital blood pressure, Dual head stethoscope, Urine analyser, Beds, Security search mirror, Pepper spray, Taser, Security vest, Jack-knife, Handcuff, and others.

           The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Special Duties and Inter-governmental Affairs, Mr. Lateef Benson, who distributed the equipment to the representatives of the security outfits and benefitted PHCs at the MKO Abiola Trade Fair Complex in Abeokuta, stated that the initiative was aimed at reaching out to the people for an improved standard of living.

          He said the present administration was passionate to enhance the security architecture and health care system of the State, noting that the government would not relent in ensuring the safety of lives and property in all ramifications.

          In his remarks, Director of OGSEMA, Mr. Wale Shonde stated that the distribution was part of the readiness of the State government to combat security emergencies and ensure efficiency in the health sector.

          Speaking, a representative of the benefitted Primary Health Care Center in Ijebu North Local Government Area, Mr.  Oluwatosin Balogun lauded the effort of NIMASA and the State government for the gesture, assuring that the items would be put to good use.

          On his part, a representative of the Nigeria Police, SP Olabisi Kamarudeen, described the donation as worthwhile, saying it would strengthen the Force for optimal operation.
