188 PROJECTS COMMENCED IN YEWA IN THE LAST 12 MONTHS.

   Ogun State government says a total of 188 projects covering the ISEYA development pillars were been embarked on in the last 12 months, with a reassurance to accord priority to projects with increased revenue potentials for governance to thrive.


   Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Mr. Olaolu Olabimtan, who revealed this at the 2024-2026 Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) and 2024 Annual budget in the Yewa division of the State, reiterated the unwavering commitment of the present administration towards the completion of all ongoing infrastructural developments in the area,and across the state.


    Olabimtan noted that the town hall meeting. tagged Citizens Engagement' is all about good governance, service delivery and its satisfaction, effective feedback mechanisms as well as ensuring citizens participation among others, maintaining that mission of the Prince Dapo Abiodun led-adminstration is to improve citizens confidence and trust, improving human capital development, develop and enhance the value chain for the abundant resources for the purpose of galvanizing economic and social development and improving the ease of doing business.


    " We are gathered here in Yewa today  essentially to interact and cultivate the people's input, suggestion towards achieving good governance, and we assure you that government is deeply committed to giving our people a better livelihood ".


    In their separate requests, representative of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Yewa division,, Comrade Olamilekan Yusuff applauded the present administration for taking responsibility with Lagos State to take over the rehabilitation of the Lagos -Abeokuta express road, calling on the government to look into the incessant increase of tuition fees in tertiary institutions in the State.


    Representative of people living with disability in the zone, , Mr. Mulero Makinde urged the government to address the discrimination to its members, and should come to their aid in completing the Computer building and Vocational centers in the area.


   Also, the Iyaloja-General of Yewa, Mrs. Yemisi Abbas, who talked about formulating policies that would cut across and affect all categories of its citizens, calling on the adminstration to ensure that Market traders are constituted into Board appointments, and should help address the acceptability of the Health insurance intervention in General Hospitals across the division.


Other major requests harvested from the zone include massive rural road developments, affordable housing schemes, empowerment initiatives for all, resuscitation of abandoned water schemes among others.
