IPERU REMO EDUCATION TRUST SCHEME MANAGEMENT BOARD PRESENTS ACCOUNT OF STEWARDSHIP, ROLLS OUT ACTION PLAN FOR 2024

The Iperu Remo Education Trust Scheme Management Board has presented its account of stewardship covering its five weeks of existence, following its inauguration on the 24th of November, 2023, by the Alaperu of Iperu, His Royal Highness , Alayeluwa, Oba Adeleke Adelekan IDOWU-BASIBO (Odoru V).


This account of stewardship was released on 1st January, 2024, by the Chairman of the board, Mofopefoluwa JOSEPH, FRM.


In the document tagged - "2023 Annual Management Reports and Accounts", the Chairman highlighted the board's statement of income and expenditure for the period, ending 31st December, 2023.

He also released a five year projected estimates of income and expenditure for the years 2024-2028.


He listed some of the achievements recorded by the board during the period, which includes the maiden Sensitization Talk on Education, and the Induction Training held for the Schools Liaison Teams.

He appreciated the tremendous support received from the people of Iperu and particularly, those who had donated generously to the board. This according to him, had helped the board in its activities so far, and made it possible for a report to be presented.


Words of appreciation were also extended to the leadership and members of the executive of Iperu Development Association, for the support and encouragement so far rendered to the board, as well as the President and entire members of Akesan Iperu Club 1954, for releasing the club's hall for use during its programmes, without collection of any fee.


The Board was equally grateful for the immense support received from the community, especially, the unsolicited media and publicity support rendered by Tope OYEKAN. It therefore looks forward to a more robust collaboration in the new year.

The Chairman expressed his profound gratitude to the members and the executive director of the Board, for their support and cooperation, seeking a continued efforts towards achieving their set goals.


Concluding, JOSEPH said the Board has been able to make significant progress in its short time in office, and that it is committed to further advancing the cause of education in Iperu Remo.


He called on all Iperu sons and daughters, and all lovers of education who have been blessed by God, to support the Board's effort at eradicating poverty in Iperu, by donating  through its account details stated below:

As part of its highlighted plans for the year 2024, the second edition of the monthly Sensitization Talk on Education, shall hold on 24th January, 2024.

Having the theme - "Education is a Key to Success" the event will have an illustrious son of Iperu, Mr. Tutu BURAIMO, FCA, MNI, former Managing Director, Carnaud Metal Box, Toyo Glass, as the Keynote Speaker; and the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Ogun State, Prof. Abayomi ARIGBABU, as the Guest Speaker.

Similarly, the third edition of the sensitization talk shall hold on February 21, 2024. The Lord Bishop of the Methodist Church, Lagos North Diocese, Rt. Rev. Adegboyega OHU, is the Keynote Speaker, and shall be speaking on the theme - 'Education is a Key to Peace".


Also as part of the Board's effort at further achieving its core mandate of eradicating poverty in Iperu, through education; it shall be engaging in interaction with various socio-economic structures in the town.

These include religious, community and political leaders, artisans, farmers and traders associations, entrepreneurs, industrialists, transport unions, teachers, and social clubs. The engagement holds at the Akesan Iperu Club, and shall start on Wednesday, 6th March, and ends on Wednesday, 19th June, 2023.
