The Ruling House of Fusengbuwa heir apparent to the Awujale stool at Ile nla Compound, Ijebu ode has told Otunba Abdul Lateef Owoyemi to stop Parading himself as a member or Prince of the Ruling House.
The Fusengbuwa Ruling House made this known during a Press Conference Organize by the members of the Ruling House in Ijebu ode.
Speaking on behalf of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House, the Olori Ebi, Otunba Adedokun S Ajidagba through a statement signed by him warned Otunba Abdul Lateef Owoyemi, the former family head, threatening to pursue a contempt charge if Owoyemi continues to present himself as a prince and family Head of the Ruling house.
Ajidagba who is the Olori Ebi of Fusengbuwa said the ruling house had proved Otunba Abdul Lateef Owoyemi illegibility, paternally and materially as non member of the Ruling house and he is never a prince anywhere in Ijebu ode which is supported by the court order.
According to him " the Fusengbuwa Ruling House at Ile Nla compound Ijebu ode finally disowned him and henceforth, he should not parade himself as a member of the Ruling House nor a prince.
In his words" The case, initiated in 2014, involved a dispute over the rightful Olori- Ebi position within the Fusengbuwa Ruling house.
Ajidagba, accompanied by other family elders, presented a copy of the court judgment issued in March 2018, which delineated the eligibility criteria for the Olori-Ebi role. The judgment referenced the lineage of the late Subomi Balogun and outlined the responsibilities associated with the position.
Despite the court's verdict, Ajidagba accused Owoyemi of disregarding the order and persisting in asserting leadership over the Fusengbuwa family.
The statement then reads further that failure to yield to these facts, the ruling house shall take legal action against him with out any delay.
In response, Owoyemi rejected the family's allegations, affirming his entitlement to voice his opinions and daring them to substantiate any claims of exploiting the family name for personal gain.
Regarding the court judgment restraining him from presenting himself as the head of the ruling house, Owoyemi responded, "No judgment has instructed me to cease any activities. They are extrapolating from the judgment what is not explicitly stated. I entrust them to God's judgment. No one can harm me. God has shaped my destiny. I have no intention of pursuing legal action; I entrust my fate to God."
