A former governor of Bayelsa State, Seriake Dickson on Thursday met with an ex-governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido.
Dickson in a post on X, said he visited Lamido and had the honour of having the laters new book autographed for him.
The lawmaker explained that he was unable to attend the launch of Lamido’s biography presentation due to activities lined up for the funeral of the late Edwin Clark at the time.
He mentioned that he also had the opportunity to pledge 10 copies of Lamido’s books on behalf of the Henry Seriake Dickson Foundation for N2 million.
In addition to this, Dickson said he met with Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party during the visit.
“I also met Alhaji Lawan Batagarawa, who also came in to see Lamido.
“While it was not a planned meeting, we had useful discussions about the state of our country and particularly the direction of its democracy and we hope to deepen those consultations and conversations in the days and months ahead,” he wrote on X.
