....AS PUBLIC SERVICE DAY CELEBRATION CONTINUES WITH CHURCH THANKSGIVING
The contributions of Civil/Public Servants in the Gateway State, in particular and the nation at large, have been described as very crucial, which must continue to be built upon for more remarkable achievements to be recorded for the betterment of all.
The Ogun State Head of Service, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya, stated this when he led all workers in the State to a Special Thanksgiving Church Service, as part of activities to mark the Year 2025 Public Service Day Celebrations, put together by the State Government through the Bureau of Establishments and Training, Office of the Head of Service, held at the Government House Chapel, Oke-Igbein, Abeokuta.
According to him, the contributions of the Civil/Public Servants to the growth and development of the State as well as the nation cannot be over emphasized, as they form all the tiers of government, hence, the celebration of tbe Day to acknowledge their invaluable efforts.
"I want to thank the Civil/Public Servants of Ogun State for their commitment, dedication and support, which have been instrumental to the successes recorded by this administration in various spheres of governance, be it education, health, agriculture, transportation, culture and tourism, and indeed all areas", the HoS said.
While appreciating the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for his unwavering commitment to the development of the Service, which is growing in leaps and bounds, as exemplified in all the various achievements recorded by the Service and the government itself, Mr. Onasanya charged the workers to remain dedicated to duties, continue to rev up the engine and keep contributing worthwhile quotas for the continuos overall development of the State.
"In Ogun State today, we have a highly focused and responsible administration, and as the engine room of government, we must continue to contribute all quotas to sustain Ogun as the investments destination of choice, as well as the industrial capital of the nation, because all eyes are on us and we must continue to deliver optimally", he said.
The Head of Service also appreciated all spiritual leaders for their prayers and support to the present administration and added that their prayers are answered, owing to the remarkable achievements being recorded in the State.
Adding his voice at the commemorative thanksgiving, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Dr. Oluwatoyin Taiwo congratulated all the workers and commended them for their exceptional contributions to the implementation of the "Building Our Future Together" agenda of the administration, as this was made possible under the purposeful and exemplary leadership of the Head of Service, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya, who is unwaveringly committed to the development of the Service.
While saluting the resilience and perseverance of the workers at upholding high standards of the Service in order to continue to build a prosperous Ogun State, the Chief of Staff said character, conviction and commitment should be made the guiding principles in order to be divinely inspired to carry out statutory duties.
In a sermon titled "Yours, Oh Lord is the Greatness", the Guest Preacher, Ven. Dr. Olatunji Oyeneye, reminded the workers that irrespective of the positions they occupy, they must always acknowledge that God is the greatness and fear Him by not engaging in any form of evil, must shun corrupt practice or tendencies but keep His commandments and He will elevate them.
Earlier, the only scripture reading taken from 1 Chronicles 29:11-14 was handled by the Permanent Secretary, Bureau of Establishments and Training, Mrs. Lydia Fajounbo.
In attendance were Hon. Commissioner for Environment, Dr. Ola Oresanya, his counterpart from the Culture and Tourism Ministry, Hon. Sesan Fagbayi, Body of Permanent Secretaries led by its Chairman, Mrs. Ajimo Dada, Principals-Generals, General Managers, Labour Leaders, Directors and all cadres of Civil/Public Servants in the State.
