A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Joe Igbokwe has described the coalition leaders as “bad politicians” sent packing by former President Muhammadu Buhari.

Igbokwe in a Facebook post said it is laughable that these ‘bad politicians’ are now the ones plotting to unseat President Bola Tinubu from power.

Also referring to the coalition leaders and members as appointment bandits, Igbokwe said they were mostly thrown out by the previous government over alleged cases of corruption and other vices.

The APC chieftain also stated that the activities of the members and leaders of the coalition ahead of the 2027 general election are nothing but a joke.

He wrote on Facebook, “All the bad politicians, all those PMB sent packing during his tenure for corruption, all those he sent away for non-performance and all the appointment bandits are the ones who want to defeat PBAT in 2027 abi? Make we dey play.”

Politics Nigeria reports that the coalition led by former vice president Atiku Abubakar and Nasir El-Rufai, a former governor of Kaduna state is plotting to oust President Tinubu from power in 2027.

The coalition which has adopted the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as its official party has about four ministers who served in the administration of ex-president Buhari.

They include Rotimi Amaechi, a former minister of transportation; Rauf Aregbesola, a former minister of interior; Abubakar Malami, a former minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation and Hadi Sirika, a former minister of aviation.

In addition to these key politicians, there is also Boss Mustapha, who served as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation during the Buhari administration.
