The Iperu-Akesan Development Association (IDA) will on Sunday, 20th July, 2025, perform the inauguration of two additional committees and a newly-reconstituted board.

Slated for inauguration tomorrow are three strategic committees and board, namely,  Estate Development Committee, the Eyo Carnival Committee, and the newly-reconstituted Iperu Remo Education Trust Scheme Management Board.

The event according to the Letter of Appointment and Notice of Invitation issued by the Iperu Akesan Development Association, jointly signed by the President, Otunba Taiwo OYEBANJO, and General Secretary, Barr. Wasiu ONAWOLE, will hold tomorrow, Sunday, 20th July, 2025, at the Akesan Iperu Club 1954 Hall, Atenda, Iperu Remo.

The following are to be inaugurated as members of the Estate Development Committee:

1. Otunba Taiwo OYEBANJO -  Chairman

2. Otunba Wale ABDUL - Member

3. Prince Wale BAMA OYEKOYA - Member

4. Engr. Issa Opeyemi ONAWOLE - Member

5. Arc. Rasaq Olalekan AMUSA - Member

6. Temitope OYEKAN - Member

7. Engr. Adetayo TAIWO - Member

8. Estate Valuer Simbiat AWONUGA - Member

9. Barr. Toyin ADEBOYE - Member

10. Mufutau OSINOWO, FCA - Member

11. Mr. Saheed OSINAIKE - Member

12. Alhaji Jimoh TAIWO - Member, and

13. Mr. Lukman ODUKOYA - Member

The committee which has Arc. Olusegun Paul Adetokunbo LADEGA and Tpl. Kamoru OGUNFOWORA as Consultants, is to ensure a successful implementation of the Royal Estate development, a dream project of the association.

The Eyo Carnival Committee will also be inaugurated with the vision of further promoting the Eyo as a pride of Iperu Akesanland.

The committee has as its chairman, Omoba Taiwo 'Gbenga OWOKALADE, and Dr. (Mrs.) Oluremi RUNSEWE as the Deputy Chairman, while Mrs. Ronke SOSAN and Mr. Babatunde SHODIYA will serve as Diaspora Coordinator and Secretary, respectively. Representatives of the various ruling houses in Iperu, the Pakerike family, and Youths will also serve as members of the committee.

In the same vein, the newly-reconstituted Iperu Remo Education Trust Scheme Management Board will be inaugurated at the event.

The board will be led by Prof. Adeleke OSHO while Capt. Daniel BANJO will serve as Vice Chairman.

Other members of the board to be inaugurated are Mr. Sulaimon AWONUGA, Mrs. Kehinde ANIFOWOSE, and Mr. Olusola AZEEZ.

The list also includes Mr. Koye Victor OLUSANYA, and Dr. Folashade SHOTOMIDE, as well as Dr. RotimiOlu AKINLESI, who will serve as Adviser to the Board.

Sons and daughters of Iperu Akesanland, both at home and in the diaspora, are enjoined to attend via Google Connect, the inauguration of these strategic committees and board tomorrow.
