Barrister Olufemi Adeleke Ogunbanwo (Omo-Iwa), the member representing Ijebu Central Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, alongside other members of the House Committee on Public Assets engaged various maritime industry stakeholders in an investigative hearing on Public-Private Partnership (PPP) programmes, leasehold and concession agreements under the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).
The hearing, held yesterday at the New Building Extension of the House of Representatives, National Assembly Complex in Abuja, featured discussions with representatives of Ports and Terminal Operators Nigeria Limited.
The Committee is tasked with reviewing these agreements to evaluate their compliance with relevant regulations, assess their financial viability and determine their overall impact on the public interest. This involves a thorough examination of the terms, execution and implications of the agreements to uncover any irregularities, financial risks, or opportunities for improvement.
Redefining Representation. Rest Assured.
