Hon. Dimeji Belo, mni, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Hon. Hafiz Kawu, OON, mni, following his recent appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, as a Federal Commissioner at the National Pension Commission (PenCom).
In a statement made available to newsmen on Wednesday, Hon. Belo described the appointment as a well-deserved recognition of Hon. Kawu’s dedication, competence, and years of outstanding public service.
“The appointment has been met with widespread commendation from political leaders, associates, and well-wishers across the country, who have hailed it as a fitting acknowledgment of Comrade Kawu's exemplary service, legislative expertise, and unwavering commitment to good governance,” he said.
Hon. Belo expressed confidence that Hon. Kawu will bring his wealth of experience, integrity, and leadership to bear in his new role, contributing significantly to the ongoing reforms and development within Nigeria’s pension administration system.
“I am confident that you will serve with excellence and contribute meaningfully to the mandate of PenCom,” he added.
He further noted that the appointment comes at a pivotal time when public trust in pension administration must be strengthened through transparency, accountability, and innovation.

The National Pension Commission (PenCom) is the regulatory body responsible for supervising, regulating, and ensuring the effective administration of pension matters in Nigeria. Its core mandate is to protect the retirement benefits of workers and promote a sustainable pension system nationwide.
