OGUN ASSEMBLY MEMBER UNVEILS CONSTITUENCY PROJECT IN IJEBU-ODE

 


The Chief Whip of the Ogun State House of Assembly and Member Representing Ijebu-Ode State Constituency, Hon. Omolola Bakare, has marked a significant milestone in her First Term by commissioning impactful constituency projects across Ijebu-Ode Local Government Area.


Hon. Bakare, accompanied by the Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, and other Party Leaders as they visited Itamapako to officially commission a 40-unit open-stall market designed to support Local Farmers and traders in the State.


The commissioned project includes; forty Open-Stall Market at Itamapako, Borehole Water Projects at Ajegunle Ijada and Ojofa Street, Public Toilet Facility at Oke-Aje Market as well as Primary Health Care Centre at Sabo, Molode.


In her remarks, she expressed gratitude to Prince Dapo Abiodun, and Speaker of the Assembly for their unwavering support which enabled the delivery of the constituency projects.


"I recall visiting these areas during our campaign and making promises to the people. Today, I am glad that many of those promises have been fulfilled, with more set to be completed in the coming years, The women at the Itamapako market requested open stalls, and I am delighted to hand them over today. More projects are in the pipeline for other parts of Ijebu-Ode Local Government. I thank Almighty Allah, Prince Dapo Abiodun, our Local Government Chairman Hon. Alebiosu, and other party leaders for their consistent support,” she said.


In his address, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, commended Hon. Bakare’s achievements, noting that she was the first among newly elected members to invite colleagues for a project commissioning.


"When a representative delivers tangible, people-oriented projects like this, they deserve to be acknowledged. Hon. Omolola has done exceptionally well. I have monitored her performance both legislatively and in constituency development.This is my first time commissioning projects in this Assembly and Ijebu-Ode is lucky to have such a capable and committed woman,” he said.


 Speaking, Chairman of Ijebu-Ode Local Government Hon. Damilare Alebiosu, praised Hon. Bakare’s commitment to community growth.


"These projects are not only timely but also reflect the development-focused agenda of our Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun. The health centre and the forty-unit market are major assets that will serve the diverse needs of our people for years to come,” the Council Boss said.


Also in attendance were the Ogun State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Tomi Coker; Minority Leader of the Assembly, Hon. Lukman Adeleye; Hon. Adegoke Awoso (Yewa North); Aladeken of Oke-Ako; Oba Osunsami, along with other notable leaders and party stakeholders.
