In a heartfelt address during the recent leadership transition at the Anowoneyo Area Community Development Committee (AACDC) in Irete-Ijebu, the Pioneer Chairman, Otunba Saheed Dosumu, reflected on the achievements of the outgoing executive and expressed optimism about the future.

Speaking at the handover ceremony held at the palace of Onirete of Irete in Irete-Ijebu, Otunba Dosumu emphasized that the outgoing administration had worked diligently to put in place structures and systems designed to ensure continuity and sustainable development.

" When we began this journey, our vision was clear – to unify the community, drive grassroots development, and create a foundation that future administrations could build upon. 

"Today, I am proud to say we have laid a solid foundation for the incoming executive to succeed." He said

Under Otunba Dosumu's leadership, the Anowoneyo CDC witnessed several impactful projects and initiatives, including infrastructural improvements, youth empowerment programs, and strengthened community engagement. These efforts, he noted, were made possible through the collective commitment of the CDC team, community members, and supportive stakeholders.

He further encouraged the new executive committee to remain focused, transparent, and inclusive in their governance, urging them to build on the momentum already created.

"Leadership is a relay race. We've run our lap with dedication; now it's your turn to carry the baton forward with integrity and purpose." He said

Otunba Dosumu then appreciate the unflinching support of Kabiyesi, Onirete of Irete, Oba Abdul Ganiu Awokoya-Yesufu during their tenure.

The incoming executive, led by the new Chairman Chief Ayodele Yahyah, expressed gratitude to the outgoing team for their service and pledged to uphold the legacy while charting new paths for community advancement.

As the Anowoneyo CDC enters a new chapter, the strong foundation laid by Otunba Dosumu and his team serves as both a springboard and a challenge—to dream bigger, do more, and continue fostering unity and development across the community.
