OGHA ACKNOWLEDGES EVEN SPREAD OF INFRASTRUCTURAL PROJECTS, SEEKS IMMEDIATE INTERVENTION ON SAWONJO–IGANOKOTO–IGBOGILA ROAD

The Ogun State House of Assembly Committee on Works and Infrastructure has acknowledged the even spread of road projects across the three senatorial districts in the State; while appealing for the immediate completion of the Sawonjo–IganOkoto–Igbogila road.

The Committee Chairman, Hon. Adegoke Adeyanju, made the appeal during the Committee’s oversight on road projects in some parts of the State;  noting that the deplorable condition of the road required immediate attention to ease movements of farm produce as well as that of other human and vehicular  movements in the axis.

He acknowledged that the State Government had earlier cleared arrears owed to contractors handling the project and urged the government to prioritize its completion for the benefit of the community.

The Committee Chairman in company of Honourables Adebisi Oyedele and Lukman Adeleye, had earlier inspected the 9.2km Sango-Ota–Ijoko–Agbado–Oke Aro–Akute road ongoing road project under its first phase, being handled by Craneburg Construction Company.

The lawmakers, while being conducted round the site by the Engineer in charge of the project, Khalid Najeem, expressed satisfaction with the pace of work and lauded the contractors for their resilience especially during the rainy season.

The Committee also inspected the Imasayi–Ayetoro road in Ogun West Senatorial District, where the second phase of the project was being carried out;  after the commissioning of the first phase.

Inspecting the Imasayi–Ayetoro road, the Committee Chairman, who is the member representing Yewa North State constituency, applauded the Governor for ensuring balanced infrastructural development across all senatorial districts.

He noted acknowledged the quality of works being done on the road; saying there was prompt supervision of the project by  government officials.
