Onirete of Irete-Ijebu, Oba Awokoya-Yesufu, Awards Scholarships to Indigent Students in Celebration of 4th Anniversary.

In a heartfelt gesture to mark his 4th Year on the throne, the Onirete of Irete-Ijebu, Oba Dr. Abdulganiu Awokoya-Yesufu, has awarded Scholarship to Miss Ajayi Abigeal Oyinkansola, an Indigent student of Irete-Ijebu as a support towards her University Education at Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, Ogun State.



The scholarship programme was part of the celebration of the 4th Year Anniversary of the Monarch.


Speaking during the event, Oba Awokoya-Yesufu emphasized the Importance of Education as a tool for empowerment and urged her to make the most of the opportunity saying Education is the key to unlocking a brighter future, not just for individuals but for our entire community.



Also in the same vein as part of the celebration of the 4th Anniversary of Oba Abdulganiu Awokoya-Yesufu, installed new chiefs into prestigious traditional titles as Chief (Mrs) Ogoji Idayat Temitope was decorated as the Iyalode of Irete-Ijebu, while Hon. Rafiu Olumide Adesanya was conferred with the title of Otunba Jadiara of Irete-Ijebu and his wife, Mrs Afolashade Adesanya, installed as the Yeye Otunba Jadiara.



This news platform report that the event was colorful as dignitaries, traditional rulers, political Stakeholders,  and well wishers from Nigeria and the Diaspora grace the Event.


Among the royal fathers who graced the occasion were the Dagburewe of Idowa, HRH Oba Kayode Adefuwape; the Ebumawe of Ago-Iwoye, HRH Oba Razaq Adenugba; and the Gbengande of Ososa-Ijebu, HRH Oba Toye Alatishe, alongside other eminent Ijebu monarchs who came to rejoice with the Onirete.



Speaking on his four-year reign, Oba Awokoya-Yesufu  expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people of Irete for their unity and resilience, describing the journey as both humbling and rewarding. 



Kabiyesi acknowledged that the progress made thus far was the product of a collective effort, driven by love, cooperation, and a shared sense of purpose among the community.


Also Speaking in an interview, the pioneer chairman of Anowoneyo AACDA, Otunba Saheed Dosumu describe the monarch as a visionary leader with unwavering dedication to tradition and a strong commitment to the progress of Irete-Ijebu Kingdom.
