Ogun APC Passes Vote of Confidence on Governor Abiodun, Charts Path for Party Growth

Abeokuta, Ogun State - December 12, 2025

The State Executive Committee (SEC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State has passed a resounding vote of confidence on the State Governor, His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, citing his administration's transformative and peaceful governance.

The commendation was part of the resolutions reached during the Committee's statutory meeting held at the State Party Secretariat in Abeokuta on Friday.

In a communiqué signed by the State Publicity Secretary, Comrade Olufemi Nuberu, the party leadership expressed "great satisfaction" with the performance of the APC-led government, aligning it with the party's manifesto and the expectations of the electorate.

The Committee specifically applauded the Governor’s proactive security initiatives, which have cemented Ogun State's status as one of the most peaceful in the federation, and praised the rapid industrialisation and infrastructural development driven by the "ISEYA" mantra.

A formal motion for the Governor's commendation was moved by the Party's Legal Adviser, Barrister Abayomi Siwoniku, and received unanimous support from the entire Executive Committee.

Beyond evaluating government performance, the SEC outlined a robust agenda for strengthening the party's internal structures. It commended the dedication of executives at the Polling Unit, Ward, and Local Government levels while calling for enhanced participatory engagement across all organs.

The Committee mandated the Senatorial Chairmen of Ogun East, West, and Central to "immediately develop and implement a sustainable schedule for mandatory Senatorial meetings at least once a month," reiterating its commitment to providing support for these activities.

On membership and electoral preparedness, the SEC thanked members for their role in the recent increase in voter registration and charged all leaders to mobilise eligible members for the upcoming Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise by INEC.

The Committee also noted the significant influx of new members and announced preparations for an imminent membership registration and revalidation exercise.

The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by the State Party Chairman, Chief Yemi Sanusi, who appreciated the members for their steadfast commitment.
