The family of the late Madam Iretioluwa Olufunmilayo AKINYEMI (nee OSITELU) will tomorrow, Sunday, 7th December 2025, hold a Special 41-Day Prayer Session in loving memory of their beloved mother, grandmother, and matriarch, who peacefully transitioned to glory on the 27th of October 2025 at the age of 92 and was laid to rest the following day, 28th October 2025.
A woman of remarkable grace, Madam AKINYEMI (aka Oluyere), who hailed from Ogere-Remo, was the devoted wife of the late Pa Josiah Olugbenga AKINYEMI of Odeku Compound, Itunsokun, Sagamu.
Throughout her fruitful life, she was widely admired for her humility, strength of character, deep faith, and selfless dedication to family, community, and the service of God.
She leaves behind a cherished legacy in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, including Gbuyi Olayinka AKINYEMI, Welfare Officer of Egbe Degbuyi Remo, as well as a host of relatives and loved ones.
The Special Prayer Session will hold at the Christ's Mission Christians Ministry (Freedom Arena), Agura, Sabo, Sagamu, while reception of guests holds afterwards at the family house, along Falawo Market Road, via Maro, Offin, Sagamu, Ogun State.
Details of the final funeral ceremony will be announced by the family in due course.
The family remain deeply grateful for the overwhelming outpouring of love, prayers, condolences, and support shown to them during this period of bereavement.
May the gentle soul of their beloved matriarch continue to rest in the perfect peace of the Almighty God.
