Prince Olawale Adeyemi-Oriola (Esq.), a United States–based Nigerian and aspirant to the Awujale stool, has extended warm Christmas greetings to the people of Ijebuland, both at home and in the diaspora, urging them to remain optimistic and hopeful for a better tomorrow as the nation celebrates the 2025 Christmas season.
Prince Oriola described Christmas, which marks the birth of Jesus Christ, as a symbol of God’s universal love for mankind. He emphasized the need for the Ijebu people to embrace the virtues of love, unity, and selflessness, noting that these values are essential for sustainable growth and development.
According to him, beyond the festive season, Ijebu indigenes at home and abroad must continue to demonstrate genuine love for one another, foster peaceful coexistence, and remain committed to unity and progress.
He encouraged citizens to be good neighbours, act as their brothers’ keepers, and contribute meaningfully to nation-building.
“Beyond this Christmas season, we must continually show love to one another. We must be kind to our neighbours, uphold unity, and work collectively for the progress of our dear nation.
“I wish all my brothers and sisters, fathers and mothers in Ijebuland a memorable and peaceful Christmas celebration. As we observe this sacred season, my prayers are for divine peace, renewed hope, and the restoration of our great land.
“May the message of Christmas fill every home with joy, strengthen the bonds of unity across ethnic and religious divides, and usher our nation into a season of peace and prosperity.
“May God grant us wisdom in leadership, compassion among our people, and the grace to overcome our present challenges.”
