The Leader of the Legislative arm of Abeokuta North Local Government, Hon. Moruf Erubami has distributed books , school bags, school uniforms, exercise books and other writing materials to pupils in Abeokuta North Sogote primary school.

The distribution which took place at the school on Monday was aimed at reducing the burden of school expenses on parents and supporting the education of the pupils.

The Councilor who is representing ward 15, Ilewo/ Isaga ward during the presentation reaffirmed his commitment to improving access to education, boosting teacher welfare, and creating a more enabling environment for learning.

Erubami appreciated the Council Chairman of the local government, Hon. Lanre Oyegbola-Sodipo for his exemplary leadership and support for all the councilors in the local government.

The Councilor also commended the teachers for their dedication and urged them not to relent. 

 He also encouraged parents to remain actively involved in their children’s education, describing their role as “vital.”

"This initiative was designed to ease parents’ financial burden and to motivate children to excel academically. Today, i am here in Sogote primary school, fortunately, i finished in the school to distribute excerise books, school bags, uniforms and other writing materials, this is to support the pupils' education and i will not stop from doing this, i will be expanded to other schools. Education remains one of my top priorities because it is the bedrock of human and societal development,” 

He  therefore pledged to sustain and expand the programme, while cautioning pupils against thuggery, and other vices that could derail their future.

The pupils were so joyous to recieve the writing materials, appreciating Hon. Moruf Erubami for his kind gesture.

Headmistress of the school,  Mrs Ekuase Joyce imuetinyan appreciated Erubami for his kind gesture, describing him a politician with large heart.

She showered blessings on Erubami, wishing him best of luck in his endeavors
