The Ancient town of Ijagun came alive with colour, culture, and celebration as the Baale of Ijagun Land, High Chief Olusegun Jacob Arode highlighted Provision of Solar Streetlights and Adequate Security of the town as part of his achievement to commemorate one year in office during the celebration of Jatoro day.

Speaking, High Chief Arode highlighted key achievements recorded since his installation, noting that his administration has focused on promoting peace, strengthening community cooperation,and encouraging grassroots development.

According to the Baale, these efforts have helped to foster harmony among residents and renewed a shared sense of responsibility toward the growth of Jatoro town.

In his words “ Ijagun Community witnessed increase in population on year basis especially now that Tasued has become a federal university,  we must improve our synergy and provision of amenities for enabling environment for students and investors over their establishment without students environments as the owner of the land in terms of security.

He revealed further that in a collective effort, the establishment of *Ireti Oluwa Farmers Market, Ijagun* has been a success.

“we have been able to secure Solar Streetlights for my town to boost the socio-economic development of the town and illuminate our environment .

 Today, we are also launching the Ijagun Security Team to support and strengthen the safety of Ijagun Land and its neighborhood communities “.

Also Speaking, the chairman of Odogbolu Local Government, Hon. Babatunde Diya ably represented by the Vice Chairman, Princess Victoria Olushola assured the community of the local government’s continued support for community development projects.

Similarly , The Area Commander of Police for Ijebu division, ACP Wasiu Yusuf, Commended high Chief Arode for the establishment of community security outfit, as well as for the donation of Security equipment and vehicle to support security operations in the area.

Highlight of the event witnessed cultural display of Ere-Epa and Ere-Apepe while the event also recorded the attendance of regberegbe Age-group with in Ijebuland and CDC executives, Security group commandants, political office holders and members Odogbolu legislative council.
