Contrary to a recent publication by Amotekun Oodua TV and some other online platforms, the generally acknowledged genealogical Table of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House are as follows;
1. Olufadekemi (Olufadi)| Abidagba| (Male Lineage)
2. Oba Adesimbo Tunwase | Abidagba| (Male Lineage)
3. Shenowo |Abidagba| (Female Lineage)
4. Okuyandewo| Abidagba |(Female Lineage)
5. Oshinuga |Abidoye| (Male Lineage)
6. Adekenu | Abidoye | (Female Lineage)
7. Adebiyi |Abidagba| (Female Lineage)
8. Adeberu | Abidagba | (Female Lineage)
SUMMARY
A. TWO MALE ABIDAAGBA LINEAGES
1. OLUFADEKEMI (Olufadi): Three (3) units: i. ODUWOLE OBANLEFA (m), II. ADELEYE(m) and ADENUBI (f).
2. ADESIMBO (Tunwase): Five (5) units; i. ADEBAMBO, ii. ADEKOYA, iii. ADENUGA FOLAGBADE, iv. ADETUTU and v. AKEJU
B. FOUR FEMALE ABIDAAGBA
LINEAGES
1. SHENOWO: two units i. Omotara and ii. Shinmaren
2. OKUYANDEWO: two units i. Adeodu and ii.Odueke
3. ADEBIYI
4. ADEBERU
C. TWO ABIDOYE LINEAGES
1. OSHINUGA (MALE): two (2) units
i. Abimbola (Oshiyoku) and (Oshiboyejo)
2. ADEKENU (FEMALE)
It is thus shocking to see online platforms circulating false claims that OSHINUGA is an Abidaagba lineage against its actual Abidoye status.
These are facts generally known to the public and on record, which no one can alter to suit his or her personal ambition. For the records, ABIDAAGBAS are children who the Awujale gave birth to while on the throne. On the other hand, ABIDOYES are children who the Awujale had given birth to before he became the Awujale of Ijebuland. Oshinuga and Adekenu were the two Abidoyes of Awujale Fusengbuwa.
It is certain that the latest development may not be unconnected with certain quarters' realization of the edge which the Abidaagba lineages have in the ongoing contest as spelt out in the 1957 Awujale of Ijebuland Chieftaincy Declaration.
The purveyors of inaccurate narratives as should note that it casts doubt on their integrity rather than that of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House or the Awujale of Ijebuland Chieftaincy.
