APC Chairman Reacts To ADC Allegations Of Forcing Civil Servants To Join Party

The National Chairman Of The All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, Has Rejected Claims By The African Democratic Congress (ADC) That The Ruling Party Is Coercing Nigerian Civil Servants To Join Its Ranks.

He Described The Opposition As Weak And Insisted That The APC Remain Far Stronger In Influence And Capacity.

Speaking On Tuesday During An Interview, Yilwatda Downplayed The Political Relevance Of The ADC And Some Of Its Prominent Figures, Including Former Senate President David Mark.

He Also Pointed To Ongoing Defections By Opposition Governors As Evidence Of The APC’s Growing Appeal.

Responding Directly To Allegations Of Forcing Civil Servants To Join The Party, Yilwatda Said, “We Have Never Asked Anybody, We Have Never Appealed To Any Civil Servant.

“Nobody Has Forced Any Civil Servant In A Letter, Verbal Bring One Video To That Effect And I Will Apologise.”

He Suggested That The Accusations May Be A Projection By The Opposition, Highlighting The APC’s Numerical Strength.

“ADC Is Not A Match At All (For The APC). For Every One Person They Have, We Have Five, Six Of Them,” He Stated.

Yilwatda Further Dismissed Claims That The Ruling Party Is Unsettled By An Opposition Coalition Featuring Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Ex-Speaker Aminu Tambuwal, Former Anambra State Governor And 2023 Labour Party Presidential Candidate Peter Obi, And Former Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola.

He Emphasised That The APC Is Neither Threatened Nor Desperate, Asserting That Its Dominance Is Based On Voluntary Support Rather Than Coercion Or Intimidation.
