Hon. Henry Fagbenro, popularly known as Agbomola has emerged the chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC in Abeokuta South Local Government, Ogun State for second term.
The LG party chairman who also the National Chairman of All APC LG Party Chairmen of Nigeria emerged through voice vote during a local government congress held on Saturday party Secretariat, Oke-Ejigbo, Abeokuta.
The dignitaries present at the local government were the House of Representatives member, representing Abeokuta South Federal Constituency, Hon. Afolabi Afuape, the council chairman, Abeokuta South Local Government, Hon. Afeez Balogun Olaniyi, a House of Assembly Member, representing Abeokuta South State Constituency 1, Hon. Lukmon Atobatele, a lawmaker, representing Abeokuta South State Constituency II, Hon. Igbalaye Wasiu Ayodele, Special Adviser to Governor Abiodun, Hon. Adenekan, The Chairman Alternate Medicine, Chief Olaleye, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Abiodun on Environment, Hon. Farouq Adeniyi Akintunde, the Secretary to the local government, Hon. Mustapha Kodaolu amongs others.
While speaking with newsmen, Honourable Afolabi Afuape described the congress as peaceful, saying that the leaders in the local government have agreed to return Hon. Henry Fagbenro.
According to him, the local government congress was peaceful and rancour-free, saying that the chairman emerged through voice vote.
He therefore commended the party members for their support and cooperation during the congress.
Also the Chairman Alternate Medicine, Chief Olaleye said the election was rancour-free, saying that there was not crisis.
Other local government executives were also returned for another term.
